Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before beginning the repair, ensure your Motorola Moto Edge 60 Pro is completely powered off. Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' from the menu.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using the SIM eject tool, remove the SIM card tray from the device. This will prevent any accidental damage to the SIM card or tray during the repair.
Detach the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply gentle heat around the edges of the back cover. This will soften the adhesive. Once heated, use the suction cup to lift the back cover slightly and insert the plastic opening tool to carefully pry it off. Work your way around the edges to release the cover completely.
Remove Internal Screws
Using a Phillips screwdriver (PH00), remove the screws securing the internal frame and components. Organize the screws by size and location to ensure proper reassembly.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the spudger, carefully disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any power from flowing during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Apply gentle heat around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Use the suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert the plastic opening tool to pry the screen from the frame. Be cautious not to damage the internal components. Disconnect any flex cables connecting the screen to the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the device frame. Connect the screen's flex cables to the motherboard. Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame to secure the screen in place.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector. Replace the internal screws and ensure all components are securely fastened. Reattach the back cover by aligning it with the frame and pressing it down firmly until it clicks into place.
Power On and Test the Device
Power on the device to test the new screen. Check for touch responsiveness and display quality. Make sure all functions are working correctly.
