Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Ensure your Moto Edge 60 is powered off completely. Use a SIM card ejector tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Edges
Gently heat the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source in a circular motion and avoid staying in one spot too long to prevent overheating.
Pry Open the Screen
Place a suction cup on the screen and apply steady pressure to lift it slightly. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and gently work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Be careful not to insert the tool too deep to avoid damaging internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the screen is lifted, use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector to prevent any electrical shorts during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Disconnect the display connector using a spudger or tweezers. Carefully lift and remove the old screen from the device.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen to the display connector. Ensure it is securely attached before proceeding. Test the screen by briefly powering on the device to check for proper function, then power it off again.
Secure the New Screen
Apply double-sided adhesive tape or pre-cut adhesive to the frame. Carefully align and press the new screen into place, ensuring it is securely attached.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector and ensure all components are correctly positioned. Press the screen firmly to ensure a secure fit. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
