Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Ensure your Moto Edge Plus 2022 is completely powered off. Use the SIM card removal tool to eject the SIM card tray and remove the SIM card.
Remove Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic prying tool into the gap between the back cover and the phone frame, working your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Lift the back cover slowly and set it aside.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Using a plastic spudger, gently pry up the battery connector to disconnect it. This will prevent any electrical damage during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Heat the front screen edges using the heat gun. Attach a suction cup to the front screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert a plastic prying tool and carefully work around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Slowly lift the screen, being mindful of the display cable, and disconnect the cable using tweezers.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame and connect the display cable. Ensure a secure fit. Test the screen functionality before sealing it by temporarily powering on the device.
Secure the New Screen
Once functionality is confirmed, remove any protective films from the new screen. Apply adhesive strips around the edges of the phone frame. Carefully align and press the new screen into place, ensuring a tight seal.
Reconnect and Seal the Device
Reconnect the battery connector. Reattach the back cover by aligning it with the frame and pressing down firmly. Reinsert the SIM card and power on the device to ensure everything is working correctly.
