Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare
Ensure your phone is completely powered off. Remove any SIM cards or external memory cards from the device. If applicable, remove any case or protective cover.
Heat the Screen
Using a heat gun or hair dryer, gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source in a circular motion around the edges for about 2-3 minutes to avoid overheating any specific part.
Separate the Screen
Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to separate the screen from the frame.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is loose, carefully lift it slightly to expose the connector. Use a spudger tool to disconnect the screen's flex cable from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Completely remove the old screen from the device, making sure not to damage any internal components. Clean any remaining adhesive residue from the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and connect the flex cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure before proceeding.
Secure the Screen
Apply new adhesive strips to the edges of the frame. Carefully place the new screen onto the frame, ensuring it is properly aligned. Press down gently to secure the adhesive.
Reassemble the Device
Reinsert any SIM or memory cards. Power on the device to test the new screen functionality. Ensure all parts are securely in place.
