Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Select 'Power off' and wait for the device to completely shut down before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using a SIM eject tool or a paperclip, insert it into the small hole on the SIM card tray and gently push to eject the tray. Remove it from the device and set it aside.
Heat the Edges of the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to apply too much heat to avoid damage.
Remove the Back Cover
Place a suction cup near the edge of the back cover and lift gently to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slide it around the edges to separate the adhesive. Remove the back cover carefully.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a plastic tool to carefully disconnect it from the motherboard. This prevents any power from flowing through the device while you work.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently heat the edges of the screen using the heat gun. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to cut the adhesive around the screen. Carefully lift and detach the screen from the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame of the device. Connect the screen's flex cables to the motherboard. Apply new adhesive strips around the frame and press the screen firmly into place to ensure a secure fit.
Reconnect the Battery and Close the Device
Reconnect the battery to the motherboard. Carefully place the back cover onto the device and press along the edges to secure it with the adhesive. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure the display is clear and the touch response is accurate. If any issues are found, recheck connections.
