Power Off the Device
Ensure that your Motorola Moto G Power is completely powered off before beginning the repair. Press and hold the power button and confirm shutdown.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover of the phone. Start from one corner and work your way around the edges until the cover is completely detached.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Use a spudger to gently pry up the battery connector from the motherboard to disconnect it.
Remove the Display Assembly
Heat the edges of the display with a heat gun or hairdryer for about 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to separate the display from the frame. Proceed carefully around the edges to fully detach the display.
Detach the Display Connectors
Once the display is partially lifted, use tweezers to disconnect the display connectors from the motherboard. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connectors.
Install the New Display
Connect the new display to the motherboard by reattaching the connectors. Align the display properly with the frame and press down gently to adhere it into place.
Secure the Battery Connection
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard and secure it with the screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press down firmly around the edges to ensure it snaps back into place securely.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning properly. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity.
