Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure you have a clean, well-lit, and static-free workspace. Gather all the necessary tools and materials before starting. Lay out a microfiber cloth to protect your phone from scratches.
Power Down and Remove SIM Card
Power off your Motorola Moto G Pure completely. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone to avoid damaging it during the repair.
Apply Heat to Loosen Adhesive
Gently heat the edges of the phone using a heat gun or hairdryer for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place, making it easier to remove.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool or spudger to carefully pry open the back cover, starting from the corners. Be gentle to avoid damaging the plastic clips or the fingerprint sensor cable.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it from the motherboard. This will prevent any electrical shorts during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen while using a plastic opening tool to separate the adhesive around the edges. Carefully disconnect the display cable from the motherboard before fully removing the screen.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the cable is securely attached before pressing the screen into place. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the new screen.
Reassemble the Phone
Reconnect the battery connector and carefully snap the back cover into place, ensuring all clips are secured. Reinsert the SIM card tray and power on the device to test the new screen.
