Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Begin the repair by powering off your Motorola Moto G Stylus 4G. Hold the power button and select 'Power Off' on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely off before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM card eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone. Set the tray aside in a safe place.
Heat the Edges of the Display
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, gently heat the edges of the display to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source in a circular motion to avoid concentrating heat in one spot for too long.
Pry Open the Display
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to detach the adhesive.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the display is lifted, use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Disconnect the display connector from the motherboard using a spudger. Carefully remove the old screen, taking care not to damage any components.
Prepare and Install the New Screen
Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue. Align the new screen and connect the display connector. Secure it by reversing the disassembly steps.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery and secure the connector cover with screws. Press the new screen into place, ensuring it is firmly attached. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and check the new screen for functionality, ensuring touch response and display quality are as expected.
