Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure you have a clean, well-lit workspace. Gather all necessary tools and materials listed above. Lay down a soft cloth to avoid scratching the device.
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Power off your Moto G04 and remove the SIM card tray using a SIM eject tool or a paperclip. This will prevent any damage to the SIM card during the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a hair dryer or heat gun, gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid overheating any area.
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Use the plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover. Unscrew and remove the battery using the Phillips #00 screwdriver and disconnect it from the motherboard.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Locate and disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using a spudger. This is usually found near the center of the device.
Separate the Screen from the Frame
Use the suction cup to gently lift the screen while inserting a plastic opening tool between the screen and frame. Carefully work around the edges to separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame. Connect the display cable to the motherboard. Secure the screen by applying adhesive strips or double-sided tape along the edges.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect and secure the battery. Reattach the back cover by pressing it firmly into place until it clicks. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on your device and test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality. Ensure everything is functioning correctly.
