Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure that your workspace is clean and well-lit. Gather all the necessary tools and materials listed above. This preparation will make the repair process smoother and more efficient.
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button and select 'Power off' to turn off your Moto G10 Power completely. This step is crucial to ensure your safety and the safety of the device during the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Do this for about 1-2 minutes. Avoid concentrating the heat in one spot to prevent damage to the internal components.
Remove the Front Screen
Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen to lift it slightly. Once there is a gap, insert a plastic opening tool to gently pry the screen away from the frame. Work your way around the edges carefully, using the spudger to assist as needed. Take your time to avoid cracking the new screen.
Disconnect the Battery and Screen
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the internal cover and carefully lift it off. Use tweezers to disconnect the battery connector. Then, disconnect the screen's ribbon cable from the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and connect the ribbon cable to the motherboard. Ensure it is securely attached before proceeding. Replace the internal cover and screw it back into place.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape along the edges of the phone frame. Carefully press the new screen onto the frame, ensuring it is aligned properly. Apply gentle pressure to secure the adhesive bond.
Reassemble and Test the Device
Reattach any remaining components and screws. Power on the device to test the new screen. Check the display and touch functionality to ensure everything is working correctly before finalizing the repair.
