Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button on the side of your Moto G100 until the power menu appears, and then select 'Power Off' to completely shut down the device.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Insert a SIM ejector tool or paperclip into the small hole next to the SIM card tray on the side of the phone. Gently press to eject and remove the tray.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, carefully apply heat around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Do not overheat, as this can damage internal components.
Pry Open the Screen
Place a suction cup on the lower part of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the screen from the adhesive.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is loose, lift it slightly and use a spudger to disconnect the display connector from the motherboard. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connector.
Remove the Old Screen
Carefully lift the old screen away from the phone body. Set it aside in a safe place.
Install the Replacement Screen
Align the new screen with the phone body. Connect the display connector to the motherboard, ensuring it is firmly attached.
Secure the New Screen
Apply the adhesive strips around the edges of the phone body where the screen will sit. Press the new screen firmly into place, ensuring it is properly aligned and adhered.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Place the SIM card back into its tray and insert the tray into the phone.
Power On and Test the Device
Hold the power button to turn on the phone. Test the new screen to ensure the display and touch functionality work correctly.
