Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair

1

Remove the Back Cover

5 min

Power off your Motorola Moto G13 completely. Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover of the device starting from one corner and working around the edges. Set the back cover aside.

2

Detach the Battery Connector

5 min

Locate the battery connector. Use the spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any power from flowing through the device during the repair.

3

Remove the Midframe Screws

10 min

Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Keep the screws organized as they may vary in size. Carefully lift the midframe away from the device.

4

Heat the Display

5 min

Use a heat gun or a hair dryer to apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Be cautious not to overheat the device.

5

Remove the Old Screen

15 min

Once the adhesive is softened, use a suction cup to gently lift the cracked screen. Insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame. Disconnect the display cable using tweezers and remove the old screen.

6

Install the New Screen

10 min

Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Align the new screen properly with the frame. Press gently around the edges to secure it, ensuring the adhesive holds it in place.

7

Reassemble the Device

10 min

Reattach the midframe and secure it with the screws. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Finally, snap the back cover back onto the device.
