Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Prepare the Device
Before starting, power off your Motorola Moto G14 completely. Use the SIM card ejection tool to remove the SIM card tray. This will prevent any accidental damage during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Once heated, apply the suction cup near the bottom of the device to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the clips. Avoid using metal tools to prevent damage.
Disconnect the Battery Connector
Once the back cover is removed, locate the battery connector. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove any screws securing the connector. Use a plastic spudger to gently pry and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Battery
Carefully peel back any adhesive strips securing the battery to the chassis. Use a spudger to gently lift the battery out of its compartment. Be cautious not to bend or puncture the battery. If necessary, apply gentle heat to soften remaining adhesive.
Install the New Battery
Position the new battery into the compartment. Ensure it is aligned correctly and press it down onto the adhesive strips. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard and secure it with screws if required.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press down firmly around the edges to snap it back into place. Ensure all clips are securely fastened. If the cover does not adhere well, use new adhesive strips to secure it.
Power On and Test
Insert the SIM card tray back into the device. Power on your Motorola Moto G14 and verify that it boots up correctly. Check the new battery's performance to ensure it's charging and functioning as expected.
