Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
Ensure the phone is completely powered off by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off'. Use a SIM eject tool or paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the device.
Heat and Remove Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply heat around the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool into the seam and gently pry around the edges to remove the back cover.
Disconnect Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector to prevent any power flow during the repair.
Remove Screws and Disconnect Display
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the display connector shield. Carefully lift the shield with tweezers and disconnect the display connector using a spudger.
Remove Broken Screen
Apply heat around the front edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen, and insert a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious of ribbon cables.
Install New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame. Connect the display connector and press gently to secure it. Use pre-cut adhesive strips to affix the new screen to the frame.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the display connector shield and secure it with the screws. Reconnect the battery connector. Carefully align and press the back cover into place until it clicks.
