Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Down and Remove SIM Card

5 min

Start by powering down your Motorola Moto G15 completely. Once the device is off, use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone. Set the tray aside safely.

2

Remove the Back Cover

10 min

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover of the phone. Begin at one corner and work your way around the edges until the cover is completely detached.

3

Disconnect the Battery

5 min

Locate the battery connector inside the phone. Use a spudger to gently disconnect it, ensuring no power is running through the device during the repair.

4

Detach the Screen Assembly

15 min

Apply heat to the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Carefully use the suction cup to lift the screen while inserting a plastic opening tool between the screen and the frame. Work around the edges to fully detach the screen assembly.

Remove the Old Screen

10 min

Once the screen is detached, carefully disconnect any flex cables attaching the screen to the motherboard. Use tweezers if necessary for precision.

6

Install the New Screen

10 min

Align the new screen with the device and connect the flex cables to the motherboard. Ensure all connections are secure before proceeding.

7

Reassemble the Device

5 min

Reattach the battery connector and carefully place the back cover onto the device. Press firmly around the edges to ensure it snaps into place.

8

Test the New Screen

5 min

Power on the device and test the new screen function. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity to ensure the repair was successful.
