Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
Ensure the Moto G200 5G is powered off completely. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Edges of the Device
Use a hairdryer or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Keep the device at a safe distance from the heat source and move it continuously to avoid overheating.
Remove the Back Cover
Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap between the back cover and the frame. Carefully work your way around the edges to pry the back cover off. Be patient and avoid using excessive force.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently heat the edges of the front screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert a plastic opening tool to cut through the adhesive. Carefully separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the new screen in place. Ensure there are no gaps and the screen is properly seated.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery to the motherboard and secure the connector with screws. Carefully reattach the back cover, ensuring it clicks into place. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for responsiveness and functionality. Check for any issues such as dead spots or discoloration.
