Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Motorola Moto G22 completely. Next, remove the SIM card tray using a SIM eject tool or a paperclip by inserting it into the small hole next to the tray.
Heat the Edges
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the device. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Be careful not to overheat the device, which can cause damage to internal components.
Remove the Front Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen and gently lift to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to detach the screen from the adhesive. Take your time to avoid cracking the screen further or damaging the internal components.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is lifted, carefully disconnect the display connector using a spudger. This connector is typically located near the top of the device. Handle the connector and cable gently to avoid damage.
Prepare for New Screen Installation
Remove any remaining adhesive residue from the frame using a spudger or tweezers. Clean the surface thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion of the new screen. Apply new adhesive strips around the frame or use pre-cut adhesive designed for the Moto G22.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connector is securely in place. Gently press the screen into the adhesive, starting from the top and working your way down. Make sure the screen is flush with the frame.
Reassemble the Phone
After the screen is secure, reinsert the SIM card tray. Turn on the device to test the new screen. Make sure the display is responsive and functioning correctly. If everything is in order, proceed to the final step.
Final Adjustments and Testing
Perform a final inspection to ensure that the screen is properly installed and functional. Test all areas of the touch screen and check for any display issues. If satisfied, your repair is complete!
