Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Motorola Moto G24 Power completely. Use the SIM card removal tool to eject and remove the SIM card tray. This ensures that you don't damage the SIM card or tray during the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the phone, focusing on the screen's perimeter. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Heat for approximately 1-2 minutes while being careful not to overheat and damage internal components.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap to start separating the screen from the frame. Carefully work your way around the edges, using the opening tools to detach the screen without damaging the internal components.
Disconnect the Screen
After loosening the screen, carefully lift it slightly to access the display connector. Use a precision screwdriver to unscrew any screws securing the connector shield, then gently disconnect the display connector using tweezers or a spudger.
Remove the Old Screen
Once the display connector is disconnected, remove the old screen completely from the phone. Be cautious of any remaining adhesive or glass shards.
Install the New Screen
Position the new screen in place and connect the display connector carefully. Secure it with screws if necessary. Before sealing the phone, power it on briefly to ensure the new screen functions correctly. Once verified, power off the device again.
Seal the Phone
Apply new adhesive strips around the frame where the screen will sit. Carefully align the new screen and press firmly around the edges to ensure a good seal. Use the heat gun lightly to help the adhesive set if needed.
Reinsert SIM Card and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray and power on the device to perform a final test. Ensure the touch functionality and display quality meet your expectations. This step ensures all components are functioning after reassembly.
