Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Start by powering off your Motorola Moto G30 completely. Once the device is off, use a SIM card eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM tray from the side of the phone.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, gently heat the edges of the phone's screen to soften the adhesive. Move the heat source in a circular motion and avoid overheating one spot to prevent damage to the internal components.
Pry Open the Screen
Attach a suction cup to the lower part of the screen and pull gently to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to release the adhesive. Proceed slowly to avoid cracking the screen further.
Disconnect the Battery and Screen Connectors
Once the screen is loose, open the device slightly and locate the battery and screen connectors. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the connector bracket. Gently lift the bracket and disconnect the battery and screen connectors using a pair of tweezers.
Remove the Old Screen
After disconnecting the connectors, remove the old screen completely. Be cautious of any remaining adhesive or fragments of glass that may be attached. Clean the frame of the phone with a cloth to ensure it's free of debris and old adhesive.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame of the phone. Connect the screen and battery connectors to the motherboard, ensuring a snug fit. Replace the connector bracket and secure it with the screws.
Seal the Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame. Carefully place the new screen onto the frame, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well. Use a plastic tool to press down the edges and secure the screen in place.
Reinsert SIM Card and Power On
Reinsert the SIM card tray into the device. Power on your Motorola Moto G30 to test the new screen's functionality. Ensure the touch screen is responsive and the display is working correctly.
