Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' to completely turn off your Moto G34. This is crucial for safety and to prevent any damage to the device during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Using a plastic opening tool, carefully pry open the back cover of the Moto G34. Start from the bottom edge and gently work your way around. Be cautious to avoid damaging the plastic clips holding the cover in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to gently pry up and disconnect the battery connector to ensure there is no power running through the device while you work.
Remove the Display
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to evenly heat the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the display in place. Place a suction cup near the top of the screen and gently pull to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the screen from the frame.
Detach the Screen Connector
Once the screen is loosened, carefully lift it to access the screen connector. Use tweezers to gently detach the connector from the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Install the New Screen
Take the replacement screen and connect it to the motherboard by attaching the screen connector. Ensure it is securely in place. Align the screen with the device frame.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame where the screen will sit. Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring it is aligned correctly and securely attached.
Reconnect the Battery and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the back cover of the device, pressing firmly around the edges to snap it back into place.
Power On and Test
Power on your Moto G34 by pressing the power button. Test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality to ensure the replacement was successful.
