Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold the power button until the power menu appears. Select 'Power Off' to completely shut down your Motorola Moto G4 Play. This ensures safety during the repair process.
Remove the Back Cover
Use your fingers or a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover from the device. Start from one corner and work your way around the edges until the cover is completely detached.
Take Out the Battery
Locate the battery and use the plastic opening tool to gently lift it from the phone base. Be cautious not to puncture the battery. If there is adhesive, carefully peel it away.
Insert the New Battery
Align the new battery in the slot, ensuring the connectors line up correctly. Press firmly but gently to secure it in place. If adhesive strips are needed, apply them to the new battery before installation.
Reattach the Back Cover
Press the back cover onto the phone, starting from one edge and working your way around. Ensure all clips are securely fastened, and the cover is flush with the body of the phone.
Power On the Device
Press and hold the power button until the Motorola logo appears on the screen. Allow the device to boot up fully and check that the new battery is functioning correctly.
Test the New Battery
Verify the new battery is charging and holding a charge by connecting the phone to a charger. Monitor the battery level to ensure proper installation.
