Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device and Remove SIM Card
Ensure the phone is completely powered off by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off.' Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the back cover. Remove it completely to expose the internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery to prevent any power from running through the device during repair.
Loosen the Screen Adhesive
Use a hairdryer or heat gun to apply heat evenly around the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove the screen.
Remove the Old Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Gently pull up on the suction cup while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Be careful not to damage the cables underneath.
Disconnect the Screen Cables
Once the screen is free, carefully disconnect the display and digitizer cables from the motherboard using tweezers.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display and digitizer cables to the motherboard. Carefully align the new screen with the phone frame and press down to secure it, ensuring a snug fit.
Reconnect the Battery
Reattach the battery connector to the motherboard, ensuring a secure connection.
Reassemble the Phone
Snap the back cover back onto the phone. Reinsert the SIM card tray into the device.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning properly. Check for responsiveness and display quality.
