Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Off the Device

2 min

Ensure your Moto G41 is completely powered off by holding the power button and selecting 'Power Off'. Wait until the screen goes black to confirm it is off.

2

Remove the SIM Card Tray

2 min

Using the SIM eject tool or a paperclip, gently press into the SIM card tray hole located on the side of the phone to eject the tray. Remove the SIM card and tray and set them aside.

3

Heat the Back Cover

3 min

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to evenly apply heat around the edges of the back cover of the phone for about 2-3 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the back cover in place.

4

Remove the Back Cover

5 min

Place a suction cup on the back cover, near the bottom. Gently pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to release the adhesive. Lift off the back cover gently.

5

Disconnect the Battery

5 min

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal shield over the battery connector. Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.

6

Remove the Old Battery

5 min

Use a spudger or plastic card to gently pry the battery away from the adhesive. Take care not to bend or puncture the battery. Once loosened, lift it out of the phone.

7

Install the New Battery

5 min

Align the replacement battery in the compartment. Press it firmly into place. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard using the spudger.

8

Reassemble the Phone

5 min

Reattach the metal shield over the battery connector and secure it with screws. Carefully align the back cover and press it into place. Apply even pressure around the edges to ensure the adhesive bonds.

9

Power On and Test

3 min

Insert the SIM card and tray back into the phone. Power on the device and ensure it is functioning correctly with the new battery.
