Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Prepare Your Workspace
Find a clean, well-lit workspace to perform the repair. Gather all required tools and materials. Ensure your device is completely powered off before you begin.
Remove the Back Cover
Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry open the back cover of your Moto G41. Start from one corner and work your way around the edges to carefully release the clips.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use the spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to ensure the device is completely powered off.
Heat and Remove the Front Screen
Use a hairdryer or heat gun to gently heat the edges of the front screen to soften the adhesive. Once heated, place a suction cup near the edge of the screen to lift it slightly, then use the plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Be careful not to damage the internal components.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is lifted, use tweezers to gently disconnect the ribbon cables connecting the screen to the device. Take care not to tear the cables during this step.
Install the New Screen
Carefully connect the ribbon cables of the new screen to the motherboard. Ensure the connections are secure before proceeding.
Secure the New Screen
Gently place the new screen onto the device frame. Use adhesive strips to secure it in place. Apply even pressure around the edges to ensure a good seal without damaging the screen.
Reassemble and Test
Reconnect the battery and reattach the battery connector cover using the Phillips #00 screwdriver. Reattach the back cover by pressing it firmly until all clips are secured. Power on the device to test the functionality of the new screen.
