Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Motorola Moto G45 5G completely. Use the SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Remove Back Cover
Use the heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully use the plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover, starting from a corner and working your way around the edges.
Disconnect Battery Connector
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently disconnect it from the motherboard. This step is crucial to prevent any electrical shorts.
Remove Screws and Disconnect Display
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe and use tweezers to disconnect the display connector from the motherboard.
Remove Broken Screen
Apply heat around the edges of the front screen to loosen the adhesive. Use the suction cup to gently lift the screen, and a spudger to carefully pry it away from the body of the phone.
Clean and Prepare the Frame
Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to clean the frame where the new screen will be attached. Ensure all adhesive residue is removed for a proper fit.
Attach the New Screen
Carefully align and attach the new screen to the frame using adhesive strips or double-sided tape. Ensure that the display connector is properly aligned and connected to the motherboard.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Reconnect the battery connector. Carefully snap the back cover into place, ensuring it is securely attached.
Test the New Screen
Power on your device and test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality. Ensure all functions are working correctly before fully securing the device.
