Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Ensure the Motorola Moto G51 5G is completely powered off. Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' from the options. Wait until the device is entirely off before proceeding.
Remove SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray. Insert the tool into the small hole next to the tray and press gently to release it. Set the tray aside in a safe place.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the phone's screen. Move the heat source around the edges for about 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat the device.
Lift the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Avoid using metal tools to prevent damage.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is loose, carefully lift it from the bottom, opening it like a book. Use a spudger to disconnect the screen's ribbon cable from the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Prepare the New Screen
Remove any protective films from the replacement screen. If necessary, apply adhesive strips or screen adhesive to the frame of the phone, ensuring a secure fit for the new screen.
Connect the New Screen
Carefully connect the new screen's ribbon cable to the motherboard. Ensure it is securely attached and aligned properly.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame and press it gently into place. Ensure the adhesive bonds well by applying even pressure along the edges. Use a microfiber cloth to clean any fingerprints or dust from the screen.
Reinsert SIM Card Tray
Place the SIM card back into the tray and insert it into the phone. Ensure it is properly seated and flush with the edge.
Power On and Test
Turn on the device by pressing and holding the power button. Once the phone is on, test the new screen for touch responsiveness and display quality. Check for any irregularities or issues.
