Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your Motorola Moto G53 until the power off option appears. Tap 'Power Off' to completely shut down the device.
Remove SIM Card Tray
Using the SIM card eject tool, remove the SIM card tray from the device. This is a critical step to avoid damage to the tray during the repair process.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply heat around the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Pry Open the Screen
Place a suction cup near the edge of the screen. Gently pull up to create a small gap, then insert a plastic opening tool into the gap. Carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Take care not to damage the internal components.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the screen is lifted, locate the battery connector and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it. This will ensure no power is flowing through the device during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Continue to carefully lift the screen away from the device, using tweezers to disconnect any ribbon cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device. Reconnect any ribbon cables to the motherboard, ensuring they are securely attached. Carefully place the screen onto the frame.
Secure the New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips along the edges of the screen or use screen adhesive. Firmly press down around the edges to ensure the screen is securely attached to the frame.
Reconnect the Battery
Use the spudger to reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Ensure it is properly seated to restore power to the device.
Reassemble the Phone
Reinsert the SIM card tray, then power on the device to test the new screen. Ensure all functions are working correctly before concluding the repair.
