Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before you begin, ensure the Motorola Moto G54 is completely powered off. Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' from the options. Wait for the device to shut down completely.
Remove the Back Cover
Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover of the phone. Start at one corner and work your way around the edges until the cover pops off. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the back cover.
Detach the Battery Connector
Use the nylon spudger to carefully disconnect the battery connector. This step is crucial for your safety and to prevent any electrical short circuits during the repair.
Remove the Midframe
Use the T5 Torx screwdriver to remove all screws securing the midframe. Gently lift the midframe away from the device and set it aside. Be cautious of any small components that may be attached.
Heat and Remove the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to evenly heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly and insert the plastic opening tool to pry the screen away from the frame. Work slowly and carefully to avoid cracking the glass further.
Disconnect the Display Cable
Once the screen is lifted, use tweezers to carefully disconnect the display cable from the motherboard. Ensure you do not pull or yank on the cable.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Align the new screen with the frame and gently press it into place. Ensure there are no gaps, and the screen sits flush with the frame.
Reassemble the Device
Reverse the disassembly steps: reattach the midframe, reconnect the battery, and secure the back cover. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to ensure the back cover is securely attached.
