Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your Moto G55 5G until the power menu appears. Select 'Power Off' to completely shut down the device.
Remove SIM Card and Tray
Use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the device. Set aside the SIM card and tray in a safe place.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Gently heat the edges of the phone’s screen using a heat gun or hairdryer for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Pry Open the Screen
Place a suction cup on the lower part of the screen and gently pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Be patient and avoid rushing to prevent damaging internal components.
Disconnect the Screen
Lift the screen slowly from the phone and use a spudger to disconnect the display cable from the motherboard. Set the old screen aside.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen’s display cable to the motherboard. Carefully align the new screen with the phone’s frame.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape to the edges of the new screen. Press the screen firmly into place to ensure it is securely attached.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card back into the tray and slide the tray back into the phone.
Power On the Device
Hold the power button to turn on the Moto G55 5G. Test the new screen to ensure it functions properly, checking both touch responsiveness and display clarity.
