Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Prepare Your Workspace
Find a clean, well-lit workspace. Gather all required tools and materials. Power off the Moto G5S Plus and remove any SIM or SD cards from the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the back cover. Once a gap is created, use the plastic spudger to carefully remove the back cover without damaging any clips.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Carefully disconnect the battery connector using the plastic spudger to avoid any short circuits.
Remove the Old Screen
Apply heat around the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen while inserting a plastic opening tool to separate the adhesive around the perimeter. Carefully detach the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Clean the frame using a microfiber cloth to remove any adhesive residue. Align the new screen with the frame and connect the display connector. Securely attach the new screen using adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and replace the connector cover using the previously removed screws. Ensure all connections are secure.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align and press the back cover onto the phone until it clicks into place. Ensure all edges are flush with the device.
Test the New Screen
Power on the Motorola Moto G5S Plus and verify the functionality of the new screen. Check for touch responsiveness and display quality to ensure successful installation.
