Remove the SIM Card Tray
Insert a SIM eject tool or a paperclip into the small hole on the SIM card tray located on the side of the phone. Gently press to release and remove the tray.
Heat the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply gentle heat around the edges of the back cover for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove the cover.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a suction cup to gently lift the edge of the back cover. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around to separate the adhesive. Be patient and avoid using excessive force.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard and use a spudger to gently disconnect it. This step is crucial to prevent any electrical issues during the repair.
Remove the Display Assembly
Unscrew the screws securing the display connector cover using a Phillips #00 screwdriver. Remove the cover and disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using a spudger.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the phone body and connect the display cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure.
Secure the Display
Replace the display connector cover and secure it with the screws. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Make sure the connection is firm to avoid power issues.
Reattach the Back Cover
Apply new adhesive strips around the edges of the back cover. Carefully align and press the cover back into place. Ensure it is firmly adhered to the phone body.
