Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
First, ensure your Motorola Moto G60 is powered off. Use a SIM ejection tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This will prevent damage to the SIM card and ensure it doesn't obstruct the disassembly process.
Heat and Remove Rear Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the rear cover. This will soften the adhesive holding it in place. Carefully use a suction cup and plastic opening tool to lift and separate the rear cover from the frame. Work slowly to avoid damaging the cover.
Disconnect Battery
Once the rear cover is removed, use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Carefully disconnect the battery connector using a spudger to avoid short-circuiting.
Remove Display Assembly
Remove the screws securing the display assembly. Use a spudger to disconnect the display cable. Apply gentle heat along the edges of the screen to loosen the adhesive, then use a plastic opening tool to carefully lift and remove the damaged screen.
Install New Screen
Before installing the new screen, clean the frame using a microfiber cloth to remove any residue. Align the new screen with the frame, ensuring the display cable is properly connected. Secure the screen using new adhesive strips along the edges.
Reconnect Battery and Test
Reconnect the battery connector and secure the shield with screws. Power on the device to test the new screen functionality. Ensure the display is responsive and free of dead spots.
Reattach Rear Cover and Finalize
Carefully reattach the rear cover by aligning it with the frame and pressing down firmly to secure the adhesive. Replace the SIM tray. Your Motorola Moto G60 should now be fully functional with a new screen.
