Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Ensure the phone is completely powered off. Use the SIM card ejector tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Back Panel
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to carefully heat the edges of the back panel to soften the adhesive. Apply heat evenly to avoid damage.
Remove the Back Panel
Use a suction cup to gently lift the edge of the back panel. Insert a plastic card or precision knife between the panel and the frame to carefully pry it open. Work around the edges to release the adhesive.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently lift and disconnect it from the motherboard. This ensures no power flows through the device during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove any screws securing the display assembly. Carefully disconnect any ribbon cables connecting the screen to the motherboard. Use the spudger or opening tool to gently separate the screen from the frame.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame. Reconnect any ribbon cables and secure the screen with screws if applicable. Ensure the screen is seated properly and evenly.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard using the spudger. Ensure a secure connection for proper power flow.
Reattach the Back Panel
Clean any residue from the edges of the back panel and frame. Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape. Press the back panel firmly into place, ensuring it is secure.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure touch sensitivity and display quality are satisfactory before using the device normally.
