Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button and select 'Power Off' to completely shut down your Motorola Moto G71 5G. Wait until the screen goes blank before proceeding.
Remove the SIM Tray
Using a SIM eject tool or a paperclip, gently insert it into the small hole of the SIM card slot to eject the tray. Remove the SIM tray and set it aside.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to evenly warm the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place. Be cautious not to overheat, which could damage the device. Aim for about 2-3 minutes of heat application.
Separate the Screen from the Frame
Attach a suction cup on the lower portion of the screen. Gently pull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening tool between the screen and the frame. Carefully work your way around the edges to loosen the adhesive.
Disconnect the Display Connector
Once the screen is lifted, locate and carefully disconnect the display connector using a spudger. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connector or surrounding components.
Remove the Old Screen
Once the connector is detached, fully remove the old screen from the device. Clean any residual adhesive from the frame using a spudger or tweezers.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the frame and reconnect the display connector. Ensure the connector is securely attached before proceeding.
Secure the New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the frame. Carefully position the new screen and press firmly around the edges to secure it in place.
Reinsert the SIM Tray
Place the SIM card back into the tray, and insert it into the device.
Power On the Device and Test
Turn on your Motorola Moto G71 5G and test the new screen for functionality. Ensure the touch response and display quality are satisfactory.
