Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button and select 'Power off' to turn off the phone completely. Wait for a few seconds to ensure it's fully powered down.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover. Start from one corner and gently work your way around the edges to release the clips. Set the back cover aside.
Remove the Battery
Detach the battery connector using a spudger to prevent any power flow. Carefully lift out the battery using a plastic tool. Do not use metal tools for this step.
Detach the Display Assembly
Remove all visible screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver from the midframe. Carefully apply heat to the edges of the front screen with a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the adhesive. Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen and a plastic tool to help separate it from the frame. Be cautious not to damage the internal cables.
Disconnect the Ribbon Cables
Using tweezers, carefully disconnect the ribbon cables that connect the display assembly to the motherboard. Ensure no cables are pulled or damaged.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen and connect the ribbon cables to the motherboard. Ensure all connections are secure. Place the screen gently without applying excessive pressure.
Secure the Display Assembly
Use the adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the new screen in place. Reattach the midframe screws to secure the assembly. Double-check that the screen is aligned correctly.
Reinstall the Battery and Back Cover
Reconnect the battery connector and place the battery back into its compartment. Snap the back cover into place by pressing along the edges until all clips are secure.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for responsiveness and display quality. Ensure everything functions correctly before completing the repair.
