Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before starting the repair, ensure the Motorola Moto G82 5G is completely powered off to prevent any electrical damage or injury.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool into the seam and gently pry around the edges to lift the cover. Set the cover aside once removed.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to ensure the phone is fully powered off.
Remove the Old Screen
Gently heat the front of the phone around the edges to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, and insert a plastic opening tool to begin separating the screen from the frame. Carefully work your way around the device, ensuring not to pull on any connectors. Remove the screen once it is free.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device frame, ensuring all connectors are properly aligned. Press gently around the edges to adhere the screen to the frame. If using adhesive strips or tape, apply them before placing the screen.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard using the spudger. Secure the connector shield with the screws previously removed, ensuring the battery is properly connected.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the frame of the device. Press firmly around the edges to secure the cover in place. Ensure the cover is flush with the frame and properly adhered.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to test the new screen. Check for touch functionality, display clarity, and any signs of improper installation. If everything is working correctly, the repair is complete.
