Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device and Remove SIM Card
Ensure your Moto G9 Plus is completely powered off. Use the SIM card ejector tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat the Screen Edges
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat around the edges of the screen. This will loosen the adhesive holding the screen in place. Be careful not to overheat the device, as this could cause damage.
Pry Open the Screen
Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and the frame. Gently work your way around the edges to detach the screen from the adhesive.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is loose, carefully lift it to access the internal connectors. Use tweezers or your fingers to gently disconnect the screen's ribbon cables from the motherboard.
Prepare the New Screen
Take your new replacement screen and remove any protective films. Ensure it is clean by wiping it with a microfiber cloth. Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape to the new screen's edges.
Connect the New Screen
Carefully connect the new screen's ribbon cables to the motherboard. Ensure they are securely attached to avoid any display issues.
Secure the New Screen
Align the new screen with the phone frame and gently press it into place. Ensure the adhesive is making full contact along the edges to secure the screen.
Reassemble the Device
Reinsert the SIM card tray and power on the device to test the new screen. Confirm that the touchscreen and display are functioning correctly.
