Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Tray
Power off your Motorola Moto G 5G Plus completely. Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray and set it aside.
Heat and Open the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover. This softens the adhesive. Carefully use a plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover, starting from the bottom and working your way around the edges.
Disconnect the Battery
Once the back cover is removed, use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Carefully disconnect the battery using a spudger, avoiding any metal contact with the battery pins.
Remove Old Screen
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the display connector cover. Disconnect the display connector using a spudger. Use a suction cup and a heat gun to gently lift the old screen from the frame, being careful of cables and connectors.
Install New Screen
Carefully align the new screen to the device. Connect the display connector to the motherboard. Secure the display with adhesive strips or double-sided tape, ensuring it is properly aligned.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with its cover using the Phillips #00 screwdriver. Ensure the connection is firm and the cover is properly seated.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover to the phone body and press it firmly into place. Reheat the edges slightly if necessary to ensure a snug fit. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on your device and test the new screen for functionality. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity to ensure proper installation.
