Ensure the Motorola Moto G Power 2021 is completely powered off before starting the repair. Hold the power button and select 'Power Off' from the menu.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover of the phone. Start at one corner and work your way around, gently releasing the clips that hold it in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard to prevent any electrical shorts.
Heat and Remove the Front Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the screen. This will soften the adhesive. Apply a suction cup to the screen and pull gently while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Be careful not to damage the internal components.
Disconnect the Screen Connector
Locate the screen connector on the motherboard and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it. This will allow you to completely remove the broken screen.
Install the New Screen
Position the new screen over the phone frame. Reconnect the screen connector to the motherboard. Ensure it is securely attached.
Secure the New Screen
Carefully press the new screen into place. If the replacement screen did not come with pre-applied adhesive, use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure it. Ensure the screen is flush with the frame.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the connector cover and secure it with screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Replace the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the phone and press down on the edges to snap it back into place. Ensure all clips are securely fastened.
