Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Before beginning the repair, ensure your Motorola Moto G Pure is completely powered off. Hold the power button and select 'Power off' from the menu. Confirm that the device is off before proceeding.
Remove the Rear Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the rear cover to release the clips holding it in place. Carefully work your way around until the cover is free. Set it aside.
Detach the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to gently disconnect it from the motherboard. This step is crucial to prevent any power from reaching the device during the repair.
Remove the Midframe
Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe off the device using a plastic opening tool.
Separate the Screen Assembly
Apply gentle heat with a heat gun or hairdryer around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool to carefully pry around the edges and separate the screen from the frame.
Disconnect the Screen
Once the screen is loosened, carefully lift it and disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using tweezers. Remove the old screen completely.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen to the motherboard's display cable. Carefully align the screen with the frame and press it into place. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the screen.
Reassemble the Device
Reverse the disassembly steps: reattach the midframe, reconnect the battery, and snap the rear cover back onto the device. Ensure all components are securely fastened.
Power On and Test
Power on your Motorola Moto G Pure and test the new screen to ensure it is functioning properly. Check for responsiveness and display clarity.
