Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button on your Moto G Stylus 4G 2022 until the power options appear. Tap 'Power Off' to turn off the device completely. This step is crucial for your safety and to avoid any electrical damage during the repair.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using a SIM card ejection tool or a paperclip, remove the SIM card tray from the device. Set the tray aside safely.
Apply Heat to the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover. This softens the adhesive holding the back cover in place, making it easier to remove.
Remove the Back Cover
Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the back cover and the phone frame. Carefully work your way around the edges, using a spudger if needed, to release the adhesive and lift the back cover. Set it aside.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove any screws securing the battery connector cover. Carefully lift the cover and use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This step prevents electrical shorts during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Use a heat gun to gently warm the edges of the front screen. Attach a suction cup near the top edge of the screen and gently lift. Use a plastic opening tool to separate the adhesive around the edges, working slowly to remove the old screen completely.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame of the device. Press gently along the edges to secure it in place. Reconnect any cables or connectors that were detached during the screen removal.
Reconnect the Battery and Close the Device
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the battery connector cover and secure it with screws. Align the back cover with the phone, pressing firmly to reattach the adhesive. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Check for touch responsiveness and display clarity. If everything is working as expected, your repair is complete.
