Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Begin by powering off your Moto G Stylus 4G 2023 completely. Once off, use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the left side of the device.
Heat the Back Cover
Use an iOpener or a hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the phone's back cover. This will soften the adhesive, making it easier to remove. Apply heat for about 1-2 minutes, ensuring not to overheat the device.
Remove the Back Cover
Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the back cover and the phone frame. Carefully work your way around the edges to release the adhesive. Lift the back cover gently once you have loosened all sides.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the midframe. Carefully lift the midframe and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connector.
Remove the Old Battery
Use a spudger to gently pry up the old battery. If necessary, apply a small amount of heat to the back of the battery to soften the adhesive. Take care not to deform or puncture the battery.
Install the New Battery
Position the new battery into the phone's battery compartment. Connect the battery connector back to the motherboard. Ensure it’s seated properly and secure.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe and secure it with screws. Carefully align and press the back cover into place. Apply gentle pressure around the edges to ensure the adhesive bonds properly.
Power On and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray and power on the device. Check to ensure the new battery is functioning correctly and that the phone charges properly.
