Follow these 8 steps to complete your repair
Power Off and Remove SIM Card
Start by powering off your Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2021. Use the SIM card ejector tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Remove Rear Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Carefully insert a plastic opening tool between the back cover and the frame, and gently pry it open. Move around the edges to release all clips.
Disconnect the Battery
Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Remove the shield and disconnect the battery connector using a spudger. This step prevents accidental short-circuits.
Remove the Old Screen
Use the heat gun to warm the edges of the front screen. Attach the suction cup near the bottom edge and gently pull while using a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Carefully disconnect the display connector from the motherboard.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen’s display connector to the motherboard. Align the screen with the frame and press it in place. Ensure the new screen is securely attached using adhesive strips or double-sided adhesive tape.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Replace the battery connector shield and secure it with screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Reattach the Rear Cover
Align the rear cover with the frame and press down firmly to secure the adhesive. Reheat the edges if necessary to ensure a snug fit. Make sure all clips are engaged.
Power On and Test
Reinsert the SIM card tray and power on the device. Test the new screen to ensure touch functionality and display quality are restored.
