Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair

1

Power Off and Remove SIM Tray

5 min

Turn off your Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 completely. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device. This will prevent any damage to the SIM card and make the back cover removal easier.

2

Heat and Remove the Back Cover

10 min

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Once heated, use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry around the edges to detach the back cover. Be patient and avoid applying excessive force.

3

Disconnect the Battery

5 min

Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector cover. Gently lift the cover with a plastic spudger. Use the spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.

4

Remove the Old Battery

10 min

Apply some adhesive remover around the edges of the battery to loosen the adhesive. Carefully lift the battery using a plastic spudger. If the battery is difficult to remove, apply more adhesive remover and wait a few minutes.

5

Install the New Battery

5 min

Align the new battery in the battery compartment. Press down gently to secure it in place. Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard by pressing it into place using a plastic spudger.

6

Secure the Battery Connector

5 min

Reattach the battery connector cover and secure it with the screws removed earlier. Ensure all screws are tightened properly but not overly tight to avoid damage.

7

Reattach the Back Cover

5 min

Before reattaching the back cover, apply new adhesive strips around the edges of the cover. Align the cover with the phone and press firmly around the edges to ensure a good seal. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
