Power Off the Device
Hold the power button for a few seconds until the power menu appears. Select 'Power off' to completely shut down the device.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray. This will prevent any damage to the tray or SIM card during the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer on a low setting to gently heat the edges of the screen. This softens the adhesive holding the screen in place. Maintain a safe distance to avoid overheating.
Detach the Screen
Place a suction cup near the top edge of the screen and gently pull to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work around the edges to release the adhesive. Be gentle to avoid damaging internal components.
Disconnect the Screen Connector
Once the screen is free, carefully lift it to access the internal connectors. Use a spudger to disconnect the screen connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Old Screen
Completely detach the old screen from the device, ensuring all adhesive and connectors are safely removed.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device and reconnect the screen connector to the motherboard. Make sure the connection is secure.
Secure the New Screen
Apply new adhesive strips around the edges of the device frame. Carefully press the new screen into place, ensuring it is secure and aligned correctly.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Insert the SIM card tray back into the device. Ensure it is properly seated.
Power On and Test the Device
Power on the device and test the new screen to ensure it is functioning correctly. Check for touch responsiveness and display output.
