Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Tap 'Power Off' to shut down the device completely.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Use a SIM eject tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the device. Set it aside safely.
Heat the Screen Edges
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently heat the edges of the screen. This softens the adhesive, making it easier to remove the screen. Avoid overheating.
Remove the Screen
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Gently lift using the suction cup and insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and frame. Carefully work around the edges to release the adhesive. Avoid using metal tools to prevent scratches.
Disconnect the Display Cables
Once the screen is loose, carefully lift it slightly to expose the display cables. Use tweezers to disconnect the cables from the motherboard by gently lifting the connectors.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen's cables with the connectors on the motherboard. Press down gently to secure them. Ensure the connectors are properly seated.
Secure the Screen
Carefully place the new screen onto the device frame. Apply pressure along the edges to ensure the adhesive bonds properly. Use adhesive strips if necessary for additional security.
Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
Place the SIM card back into the tray and reinsert it into the device.
Power On the Device
Press and hold the power button to turn the device back on. Test the new screen for functionality, checking for responsiveness and display quality.
