Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' to shut down your Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G completely. Ensure the device is completely powered off before proceeding.
Heat the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place, making it easier to remove.
Remove the Back Cover
Using a plastic opening tool, carefully pry open the back cover of the phone, starting from one corner and working your way around the edges. Remove the cover and set it aside.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it from the motherboard. This ensures no power is running through the device while you work.
Remove the Old Screen
Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen. Insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and the frame and carefully pry the screen away. Be patient and avoid using excessive force to prevent damaging the internal components.
Attach the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the device and connect the screen's ribbon cable to the motherboard. Ensure the connection is secure.
Secure the New Screen
Apply adhesive strips or double-sided tape around the edges of the frame. Gently press the new screen into place, ensuring it is securely attached.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Ensure it is firmly in place to provide power to the device.
Reattach the Back Cover
Carefully align the back cover with the device and press around the edges to snap it back into place. Ensure it is fully secured.
Power On and Test the Device
Turn on your Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test touch responsiveness and display quality to confirm a successful repair.
