Follow these 10 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold the power button and select 'Power off' to turn off your Motorola Moto G10 Power completely. This ensures your safety and prevents any electrical damage during the repair.
Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry open the back cover starting from the bottom edge. Slide the tool around the edges to release the clips holding the cover in place.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector and use a spudger to carefully disconnect it. This prevents any power from running through the device while you're working on it.
Remove the Display Assembly
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Place a suction cup near the top of the screen and gently pull up to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and slide it around the edges to separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious of the display cable as you lift the screen away.
Disconnect the Screen
Use tweezers to carefully disconnect the display cable from the motherboard. Take note of the cable's original routing to ensure proper reconnection later.
Clean the Frame
Using isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth, clean the frame of any remaining adhesive residue to ensure a smooth and secure fit for the new screen.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's display cable to the motherboard. Carefully align the new screen with the frame and press it down gently to secure it, ensuring all clips snap into place.
Reconnect the Battery
Use the spudger to reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard, ensuring it is securely attached.
Replace the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press it down around the edges to snap it back into place securely.
Power On and Test
Power on your Motorola Moto G10 Power to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test for responsiveness and check for any display issues.
