Power Off the Device
Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears. Select 'Power off' to shut down the device completely.
Remove the SIM Card Tray
Using the SIM ejector tool, remove the SIM card tray from the device. This prevents damage to the SIM card and tray during the repair.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the screen for about 1-2 minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Pry Open the Display
Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen. Gently lift the suction cup to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and carefully work your way around the edges to detach the screen from the adhesive. Be cautious of the display cables.
Disconnect the Battery
Use a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This is a critical step to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Carefully detach any remaining adhesive and remove the old screen from the device. If the screen is cracked, handle it with care to avoid injury from glass shards.
Install the New Screen
Align the new screen with the device. Reconnect the display cables to the motherboard. Use adhesive strips or double-sided tape to secure the new screen in place.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Ensure it is securely attached.
Reassemble the Device
Gently press the new screen into the frame to ensure a snug fit. Reinsert the SIM card tray.
Power On and Test the Device
Power on the device to ensure the new screen functions correctly. Test the touch functionality and display clarity.
