Power Down and Remove SIM Card
Ensure your Motorola Moto G15 Power is completely powered off. Use the SIM card ejection tool to remove the SIM card tray from the device.
Heat and Remove Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the edges of the back cover to loosen the adhesive. Carefully use the plastic opening tool to lift and remove the back cover. Be patient and gentle to avoid cracking the cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Then, use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Front Screen Assembly
Use the heat gun to apply gentle heat around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Place a suction cup on the screen and gently pull while using the plastic opening tool to carefully pry the screen from the frame. Be mindful of the ribbon cables connected to the screen.
Detach the Display Ribbon Cables
Once the screen is lifted, use tweezers to carefully disconnect the ribbon cables attached to the motherboard. Be delicate to avoid damaging these connectors.
Install the New Screen
Connect the new screen's ribbon cables to the motherboard. Ensure they are seated properly. Align the new screen with the frame and press it into position. Use adhesive strips to secure the new screen in place.
Reconnect the Battery and Install Back Cover
Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with the screws. Align the back cover and press firmly to reattach it. Apply gentle heat if needed to ensure the adhesive bonds well.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen for touch responsiveness and display clarity. Ensure all functions are working as expected.
